Thanks for visiting my website! I’m Sarah Green, a writer, an editor, and a proud Kansan.
The shortest version of any story about me is this: I love where I live.
I love living in Kansas and being from Kansas. I love the people in Kansas, the amazing food that is grown, produced and cooked here, and the brilliant and uninterrupted sunsets that illuminate all 360 degrees of the horizon into layers of yellows, oranges, and every shade of blue that you can imagine.
I love the natural beauty of the canyons along the Saline River and the Arikaree Breaks. I love that I can drive for an hour from my home and be in the largest stretch of tallgrass prairie that remains on this continent.
I love the people who live here, the people who choose to live in a place where it’s not always easy to live. We’re a stubborn people. It’s OK.
I want to work to make the place where I live the very best it can be. Sometimes this means working with non-profit organizations on issues such as public health, water, food systems, and communications. Sometimes it means thinking about civic engagement, and how to bridge generational divides. Sometimes it means planning productive meetings that engage people in new ways.
I love where I live, and I love the people who live here. I believe in the good that can be done and in the people who go out and make the good stuff happen.
